His time of 1:59.46 at the 2026 Florida Summer Age Group Championships shattered the previous NAG record of 1:59.72, set by Winn Aung in 2015. This achievement is even more remarkable considering that Gumbayan and Aung are the only 11-12 year olds in history to break the 2:00 mark in this event.
